Juan Castro may start at SS for Twins

While not a done deal, it is apparently likely:

The veteran defensive specialist made his second consecutive start at shortstop Tuesday against the Toronto Blue Jays. It has been rare to see the same face start at the position on consecutive days, and with less than a week until the season opener, all signs point to Castro getting the nod.

Nice to see him getting a shot, as he's a solid defensive guy. And before people go scoffing at putting a player with a -2.0 projected VORP (although Davenport fielding put him at +15 at SS last year, which would make his value +13 overall) in the starting lineup, remember that Castro's projected VORP is 7 runs higher than Tony Womack's!
